Introduction of Science & Commerce Streams: As per budget announcement of Hon'ble Finance Minister, Assam, Govt of Assam decided for construction of additional classrooms & Science laboratories in the Secondary Schools of Assam for introduction of Science and Commerce Streams. So far administrative approval have been accorded for construction of Additional Classrooms and Science laboratories in total 281 nos of Secondary Schools for introduction of Science and Commerce Streams.
Govt of Assam has also provided Grants for Repair/ Renovation of 10 Old high performing Govt. Higher Secondary School @Rs.2.00 crore to each schools under SPA.
Govt of Assam is providing grants for infrastructure development of Cotton Collegiate Higher Secondary School under Special Plan Assistance and infrastructure development of Singri Higher Secondary Schools under State plan.
As per announcement made by Hon'ble Finance Minister, Assam in his Budget speech,2017-18 Govt of Assam has decided forConstruction of boundary walls in the examination centres of HSSLC/HSLC examination and Financial support @ Rs.50.00Lakh for Infrastructure development of deserving Secondary Schools which are more than 100 years old.
